Selected Research Projects

Selected work spanning computational imaging, 3D sensing, and experimental system development.

SPARC pipeline for RGB-guided acquisition, sparse photon representation, and depth and reflectivity reconstruction

Research project Under review

SPARC: Scene-Guided Photon Acquisition and Sparse Representation for SP-LiDAR Compression

Designed an acquisition-aware compression framework that uses RGB scene priors to guide photon sampling, sparsifies retained measurements, and jointly reconstructs dense depth and reflectivity. Evaluated on simulated driving scenes, real measurements, and an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier.

SPLiDER: Joint Depth and Reflectivity Estimation for Low-Flux Dynamic Scenes

Developed a physics-grounded cross-modal network that processes raw photon timestamp streams to estimate depth and reflectivity in dynamic scenes at fewer than one photon per pixel per frame. It reduced depth error by more than 30% against the strongest baseline across tested regimes.
